Melissa Marzan, also known as The Letter Mermaid, is a hand lettering & illustration artist with a focus on murals. Inspired by the Central Coast beaches, her signature calming blue palette promotes self-worth, ocean conservation, & courage through vulnerability. She sees her work as a way to cultivate community & share her experience as a Queer/Bisexual Filipino-American woman. Come say “hi” at the taproom on Friday, August 28th from 6-8pm.

Gary Blackburn Band based in Santa Cruz, CA., and the Monterey Bay brings their high energy roots rock based in the Rock, Country, Blues genres. The Gary Blackburn Band currently performs at music venues up and down the Central Coast and Bay Area, blending old school with contemporary, the band will weave a musical journey up on the stage, and you will be dancing! Fronted by Santa Cruz local, and celebrated veteran singer songwriter, Gary Blackburn, the band performs familiar rocking covers along with a few of Gary’s originals. You can hear one of Gary’s country tunes, “Carolina” on KPIG 107.5 Freedom, California. With Gary on guitar and lead vocals, the band also features, Sean Woodward, lead guitar, mandolin, harmony vocals, Kevin Taylor, keyboards, harmony vocals, Dan Waller, bass, harmony vocals, and Tom Duncan, drums. Audiobender is an original rock band based out of San Jose. Think Foo Fighters meets Black Keys. They've been around for over 10 years, released a few albums; took a few years off for a side project (The Vrbs), and are back at it on the better side of The Hill. ;) 5-7pm in the patio!

THE THIRSTY NINE (est. 1967 and still going!!!) plays traditional German Oktoberfest 'oompah' music and is an offshoot of the Watsonville Community Band. THE THIRSTY NINE dedicates all performance funds raised into providing scholarships for college music students. 5-7pm in the beer garden for Oktoberfest!!
